Sincere love towards creations

Sincere love towards the creations of the Almighty Allah can be expressed through many ways, such as mercy, compassion, financial assistance for the poor and orphans.

Once a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah ne upon him) complained about the hardness of his heart. The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah ne upon him) said to him: “If you want your heart to soften, (affectionately) rub an orphan’s head (with your hand) and feed the needy.” Just by patting orphan’s head mercy of Allah is transmitted from his head to your heart, which is felt by person’s heart.

To have true love towards people is to forgive them.

Allah says in the Holy Quran: “The ones who spend (for Allah’s sake) in prosperity and adversity, and those who control anger and forgive people. And Allah loves those who are good in their deeds,” (3:134). As such those who possess the quality of ihsan – are the people who forgive those who did harm to them. To this respect, the Prophet (peace be upon him) also said that those who forgive their offenders are the possessors of the highest level of sincerity (ihsan).

Allah says in the Holy Quran: "So whoever has assaulted you, then assault him in the same way that he has assaulted you" (2:194). However, after that the Almighty Allah says: “Andthe retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is [due] from Allah. Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers” (42:40).

If one forgives people, the Almighty Allah will reward him and no one knows about the amount of Allah’s reward. Indeed, one who has such a quality has achieved the highest degree of ihsan. As Allah says in the Holy Quran: "…and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good." (3:134)

We ask the Almighty Allah to make us among those who possess such noble qualities and to purify our hearts and fill them with sincere love. May the Almighty Allah helps us to do things purely for His sake, be sincere with husbands and wives, sons and all creations. Verily He is the Almighty, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
