In commemoration of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Turkey's Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and Tourism Ministry has opened an exhibition about his life at Istanbul's Topkapi Palace Museum.
Named the 'Ask-i Nebi' (Love of the Prophet) exhibition, Turkey's Religious Affairs Minister Mehmet Gormez said the exhibition would focus on the religion itself so that Muslims could “reconsider their relation with Islam.”
The exhibition displays a number of items that belonged to the Prophet (peace be upon him) as well as a letter he had written for the Egyptian governor.
It also features handwritten Qur'ans from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries and calligraphy artwork.
