WHC extended the certificate for the Tatarstani Committee on the "Halal" standard

The 16th General Assembly of the World Halal Council (Word Halal Council,) was held on October 28-30, 2018 in Istanbul (Turkey). The event was participated the Halal Standard Committee of the Tatarstan republic. During the meeting, the Committee for "Halal" Standard of Tatarstan republic received new certificate of WHC.
 
The document gives the right to vote at the meetings of the Assembly and participate in its activities. Thus, the certificate reflects the international recognition of the activities of the Committee. The Tatarstani Committee got its first certificate and became a member of WHC in 2014.
 
The World Halal Council was established in Indonesia in 1999 with the aim of "strengthening fraternity and cooperation among Halal certification bodies around the world." Now the Council unites more than a dozen countries of the world and is an international coordinating body in the field of Halal industry.
 
Tatarstan became a pioneer region in Russia, which registered the “System of voluntary certification of products and services for compliance with the canons of Islam-Halal System” in ROSSTANDART  in 2009.
 
Tatarstan became a pioneer region in Russia, which registered the “System of voluntary certification of products and services for compliance with the canons of Islam-Halal System” in ROSSTANDART  in 2009.  The system was developed by the Committee on Halal  Standards of the Republic of Tarastan in collaboration with the RSMC Test-Tatarstan. In all, 118 enterprises and entrepreneurs are registered in the register of the Committee: 72 of them are in Tatarstan and 46 are in other regions of Russia. Since the foundation of the committee, more than 1,500 enterprises have been certified. On the status for 2017, there were accepted 141 applications for certification and 114 certificates were issued to manufacturers.
