Volgograd Mufti explained Eid al-Adha celebration in the region

Volgograd, July 12, 2021

Mufti of the Volgograd Region, Bata Kifakh Mohamad, explained the fellow believers how the region plans to host Kurban Bayram in 2021, Islam.ru website reports. According to the mufti, the new coronavirus restrictions, introduced by the headquarters the day before, will not greatly affect the sacred holiday.

“Of course, we will celebrate the holiday in compliance with all measures,” said Bata Kifah Mohamad. “We have not received any special instructions. We are to provide social distance, use of mask and disinfection during the holiday. Nobody will close the mosques, people will gather in their local mosques,” the religious leader added. “For example, I will hold a service in the new mosque in Volzhsky.”

This year Eid al-Adha is to be held on July 20. More than 100 thousand Muslims of the Volgograd region will take part in the festive prayers.
