Russian muftis strengthen cooperation

Tatarstan Mufti Kamil Hazrat Samigullin met with the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Chairman of Muslim Religious Administration of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of Muslim Religious Administration of Primorsky Krai, Jamal Hazrat Garifullin and his deputy Siren Hazrat Garifullin, on Friday this week, Islamtoday reports.

The religious leaders discussed the possibilities of cooperation, issues of development of Islamic education, as well as topical problems of preserving the Tatar-Muslim culture in the Far East. Jamal hazrat spoke about his activities to attract applicants to madrasas and Islamic universities of Tatarstan and shared his opinion on the importance of training Tatar-speaking religious personnel: imams and teachers. He also noted that students from the Far East are studying at the Muhammadiyah Madrasa and madrasa named after the 1000th anniversary of the adoption of Islam, as well as at the Russian Islamic Institute, and expressed the hope that they will return to their small homeland to spread the values ​​of Islam.

In his turn, Kamil hazrat emphasized that all conditions have been created in the Islamic educational institutions of Tatarstan for the training of personnel for the needs of the Tatar-Muslim community of Russia.

In the end of the meeting, the muftis exchanged gifts. Jamal hazrat presented Kamil hazrat with an encyclopedia on the history of Islam in the Far East, receiving in return popular book editions of the Khuzur publishing house of Muslim Religious Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan.
