Russian muftis met with the mufti of Istanbul

Russian Muslim ummah representatives met with the Mufti of Istanbul and the Consul General of Russia in Istanbul on Tuesday this week, website reports.

The head of the delegation, the mufti of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia (SAMR), Albir-hazrat Krganov, together with the first deputy heads of the SAMR, mufti of St. Petersburg and the North-West region, Ravil-hazrat Pancheev and the mufti of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Tagir-hazrat Samatov discussed the cooperation with the mufti of Istanbul, professor Mehmet Emin Mashaly in the sphere of Islamic education and the exchange of positive experience among Muslims of the two states in modern difficult conditions.

Within the framework of the visit, the delegation of muftis had a working meeting with the Consul General of Russia in Istanbul, Andrei Buravov. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the further development of bilateral humanitarian relations between Russia and Turkey, shared the experience of their work and expressed their hope for further cooperation in different of spheres.
