XII All-Russian Olympiad among students of Islamic educational institutions in Islamic disciplines and the Arabic language is to be held at the Russian Islamic Institute in Kazan on December 5-6. Muslim students from more than 20 regions of Russia - Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Mordovia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and others will compete in it.

The Olympiad is organized by the Russian Islamic Institute with the support of Muslim Religious Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Fund for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education and Kazan Federal University.

The participants are to compete in Islamic Law, Basics of Religion and Arabic language in the form of written test. Moreover, the participants in the category of the Arabic language will have to demonstrate the skills of oral Arabic speech, and the contestants in Islamic disciplines are to show their ability to correctly and beautifully read the Quran.
