The head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, Albir-Khazrat Krganov, took part in a joint working meeting of the Commission of the Presidential Council for Interethnic relations, the Commission for monitoring and resolution of conflict situations in the field of interethnic relations, on migration issues and the social and cultural adaptation of foreign citizens, and information support of state national policy.

During the meeting the commissioners noted a stable positive climate of ethno-confessional relations in the country and an increasing level of all-Russian identity. However, it was noted that positive data from polls should not lead to complacency. There are still local conflicts in the country that must be prevented and they require high professional level of participants in the implementation of state national policy, especially at the municipal level.

The participants made a list of problems that require constant monitoring and approved the basic principles of work to prevent and eliminate conflict situations in interethnic relations.
