Putin emphasized high level of relations between Russia and Islamic countries

Moscow, August 29, 2022

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a greeting to the participants and guests of the Kazan Global Youth Summit, which is taking place from August 27-30. The telegram was published on Monday on the Kremlin website.

“The states of the Islamic world are our traditional partners in resolving many topical issues on the regional and global agenda, in efforts to build a more just, democratic world order. It is important that young people are more and more actively involved in such constructive multifaceted interaction,” Putin’s words are quoted in the message.

The Russian leader noted that the election of Kazan as the youth capital of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) confirms the high level of Russia’s relations with this international institution. “Hundreds of delegates from dozens of countries arrived in Kazan: representatives of various public and student organizations, expert centers and government departments responsible for youth policy,” the President of the Russian Federation noted.
