The mayor's office in Yaroslavl is discussing the construction of a second mosque in the city. One mosque is no longer enough for the local believers.

The only Muslim temple in the city is now located on Victory Street. It was built in 1910.

The problem was raised by the deputy of the municipality Dmitry Petrovsky, as Muslims constantly turn to him, since one mosque cannot cope with the flow of believers.

To date, the experts are holding consultations on the matter, including at the regional level.
