Crimean Muftiyat announced plans for Ramadan

Sevastopol, April 6, 2021

Muslim Religious Administration of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol held a meeting of the Supreme Council of the religious organization, during which the members considered number of issues, including the work of mosques in the Holy month of Ramadan.

As a result of the discussions, the Supreme Council collectively adopted two decisions:

- Taraweeh prayer will be carried out in the amount of 20 rakaats in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological measures; observance of the mask regime and holding distance in mosques is strictly monitored$

- Taking into account the tendency for the next increase in coronavirus cases, it was decided to limit the holding of iftar in mosques and on the territory of mosques.

The Mufti of Crimea, Haji Emirali Ablaev, urged Muslims of the region to take these decisions with understanding and once again called for taking precautions in connection with the threat of another wave of the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19.
