Collective prayers canceled in Tyumen mosques due to COVID-19 outbreak

Muslim Religious Administration of the Tyumen oblast decided to suspend collective prayers in mosques in the region due to the spread of coronavirus infection. In particular, holding of collective services has been suspended until November 7 inclusive, according to the website of the Religious organization.

At the same time, it is noted that the staff of the mosques will conduct individual reading of five daily prayers.

Believers are advised to refrain from holding nikahs, naming rituals, majlises (gatherings) with the participation of imams, as well as to carry out funeral prayers and rituals with the participation of a minimum number of people. The press release also emphasizes that Sunday school classes have been moved online.
