Mufti of Dagestan Sheikh Ahmad Afandi received the head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia (SAMR) Albir-Hazrat Krganov on Friday last week, Islam.ru website reports. The meeting was also attended by the chairman of the interregional public organization “Veterans of military counterintelligence” Kasim Yahien.

The guests thanked the Sheikh for the opportunity to arrange a meeting, despite the busy schedule of events.

During the conversation, those present recalled the feat of the Great Patriotic War veterans, who selflessly and heroically defended our Motherland on the battlefields. The memory of this heroism should become the basis for the education of the younger generation and the unity of our society.

In his turn Sheikh Ahmad Afandi spoke about his special and reverent attitude towards veterans, and stressed that our common task is to preserve the memory of the great Victory as well.
