Who is forbidden to marry by kindred signs in Islam?
 
 
Answer:
قال ابن حجر الهيتمي في كتابه "تحفة المحتاج", ج -7, ص -298 ,:
 
Ibn Hajar al-Haytami in his book "Tuhfat al-Muhtaj", vol. 7, p.298, writes:
 
تحرم الأمهات ... والبنات ... والأخوات ... وبنات الإخوة والأخوات وإن سفلن, والعمات والخالات.
 
"It is forbidden to marry the following categories of women:
1) mothers (i.e. mother, grandmother),
2) daughters (i.e. daughter, granddaughter),
3) sisters,
4) daughters of the brothers,
5) daughters of sisters (i.e. nieces), daughters of nephews and nieces, etc.,
6) sisters of the father (also the sister of the father's father, on the sister of the mother's father, etc.)
7) mother's sisters (as well as the grandmother's sister by father and mother, etc.) ".
 
... ويحرم هؤلاء السبع بالرضاع أيضا ... ولا تحرم عليك من أرضعت أخاك) أو أختك ... (و) لا من أرضعت (نافلتك) أي ولد ولدك ... (ولا أم مرضعة ولدك) ... (وبنتها) أي المرضعة.
 
"The seven categories of women listed are also banned for brestfeeding relationship ... But there are exceptions to this rule. For example, it is not forbidden to marry a brestfed mother of a brother or sister ..., a breastfed mother of grandchildren or granddaughters ..., mothers of a breastfed mother of children ..., also the daughter of breastfed mother's children."
 
... ويحرم) عليك بالمصاهرة (زوجة من ولدت) وإن سفل من نسب أو رضاع (أو ولدك) وإن علا (من نسب أو رضاع ... و) يحرم عليك (أمهات زوجتك منهما ... وكذا بناتها) أي زوجتك ولو بواسطة سواء بنات ابنها وبنات بنتها وإن سفلن (إن دخلت بها) ... ويحرم جمع المرأة وأختها أو عمتها أو خالتها من رضاع أو نسب).
 
"... It is also forbidden to marry a former wife of a biological or breastfed son (the one who was breastfed by the wife), on the former wife of the grandson, great-grandson and further, on the former wife of the biological or breastfed father (husband of breastfed mother), the grandfather, great grandfather and further ..., on the wife's biological and lactating mother, on his wife's biological or breastfed grandmother and so forth ..., on wife's daughters and granddaughters - this is if the wife had sexual intercourse, but if there was no sexual intercourse and there was divorce, then to marry her daughters and granddaughters is allowed ... It is forbidden to marry wife's blood or milk sister, aunt and niece.
 
... (يحرم) على مسلم ... نكاح من لا كتاب لها كوثنية) ... (ومجوسية) وعابدة نحو شمس وقمر وصورة ... (ولا تحل مرتدة لأحد).
 
"A Muslim is forbidden ... to marry an idolater ... a fire-worshiper, one who worships the sun, the moon, or some kind of images ... Nobody (even a non-Muslim) is allowed to marry an apostate."
