Reward of taking care of widows and orphans

The believers are protectors of one and other. So when we find those in need, such as the orphans and the widows, we should strive to help them. Below is are some reminders of the rewards for doing so.

"And they feed, for the love of Allah, the poor, the orphan, and the captive..." [Soorah al-Insaan, 8]

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

It is narrated that whenever Saaiduna Abu Bakr Radiallahu Anhu heard the Muazin say: "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah", he would repeat this phrase and would kiss the tip of the index fingers [or thumbs] and wipe his eyes. The Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam said: ‘whosoever does what my friend i.e., Abu Bakr did, my intercession will come down upon him’. (Sunan Dailami)

 

Recommended supplications during Sha'ban

It is recommended to bestow abundant blessings and peace upon the Beloved of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). It was in this month that Allah revealed:

"Allah and His angels bestow their blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe bestow blessings and peace upon him in abundance!" [Al-Aḥzāb, 33:56]

 

Welcoming the Blessed Month of Sha'ban

Shaban is the 8th month in the Islamic calendar and is considered one of the meritorious months for which we find particular instructions in the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). It is reported that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), used to fast most of the month in Shaban except the last few days of the month.

The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked which fast was most virtuous after Ramadan? He (ﷺ) said: "Sha'ban in honor of Ramadan". He said: "Which charity is best?" He (ﷺ) said: "Charity in Ramadan." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi)

The color green is a symbol of prosperity and good life. It is mentioned in the noble Qur`an as the color of garments and cushions of the people of Jannah [paradise]. 

Allah Almighty says,

Upon them will be green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade. [Al-Insan: 21]

What Is henna(mehndi)?

Henna (hina) is a flowering plant with the botanical namelawsonia inermis. It contains a red-orange pigment, lawsone, also known as hennotannic acid. This pigment is released by crushing the henna leaves in an acidic medium. The lawsome molecules will then have the ability to stain, and when applied to the skin they migrate to the outermost layer or cuticle, and stain them.
