Allah سبحانهوتعالىhas tested the people of the past in various ways and will keep on testing His creation. He has informed us about these tests in the Quran. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺalso informed us that Allah سبحانهوتعالىwill test us from time to time. Sometimes hardships and losses occur in life due to our sins. To wash of these sins in this world, Allah سبحانهوتعالىinflicts upon us these hardships:
Narrated by 'Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her): Allah’s Apostle ﷺsaid, “No calamity befalls a Muslim but that Allah expiates some of his sins because of it, even though it were the prick he receives from a thorn.” (Sahih Bukhari Vol. 7, Book 70, #544)

The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam has stated,
“If a woman was to apply perfume to herself, then leave her home and wander past people who were tocatch her fragrance, she would be sinful of adultery and she would also be sinful of adultery for every glance she received”. (Ahmad, Nasai and Al-Haakim:Abu Moosa Al-Ashari)
My mother called me one day when the Apostle of Allah (ﺻﻠﯽاللهﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰﻋﻠﯿﮧﻭﺍٓﻟﮧﻭﺳﻠﻢ) was sitting in our house.
She said, "Come here and I shall give you Something."

* (The most firm bonds of belief are: supporting others for the sake of Allah, showing enmity for the sake of Allah, loving for the sake of Allah, hating for the sake of Allah the Almighty ) (sahih aj Jame' 2539).
Love for the sake of Allah means loving others just in the way and for the cause of Allah the Almighty, not for other objectives, just like the following verse of the Holy Quran {and those who strive in our (cause),- we will certainly guide them to our paths} al-Ankabout 69. i.e. they strive in the way, for the cause and for the sake of Allah Alone.

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of Creations, and Peace and blessings be upon our prophet Muhammad, the faithful and the honest.
"Oh, Allah, we know nothing but what You teach us. You are the All- Knower, the Wise. Oh Allah, teach us what is good for us, and benefit us from what You taught us, and increase our knowledge. Show us the righteous things as righteous and help us to do them, and show us the bad things as bad and help us to keep away from them".

Some of the major aspects of the mission and method of Prophet Muhammad are eloquently presented in a speech which one of his companions, Jafar ibn abi Taalib, made to the Christian ruler of Abyssinia in Africa in the year 616 CE. Jafar was the spokesman of a group of early Muslims who had sailed across the Red Sea and sought asylum in Abyssinia from the persecution of the pagan Makkans:
"0 King,"he said, “We were a people steeped in ignorance, worshipping idols, eating the flesh of dead animals, committing abominations, neglecting our relations and ill-treating our neighbors, and the strong among us would oppress the weak”.

Feeling down in the dumps, depressed, having the blues… These are just some of the terms used to describe a feeling of hopelessness and despair that can hit even the most positive of us at some point in our lives. However when sadness, gloom and unhappiness becomes a permanent mark of our lives, when it creates a feeling of hopelessness, helplessness and worthlessness, when it interferes with our ability to work, study, eat, sleep, and mix with people we may be suffering from abnormal levels of despair otherwise called depression.

We know a lot more about Muhammad - the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, since he is the last Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and lived only 1,400 years ago. People altered and distorted all the religions Allah revealed before him. That is why the last book for which people will be held responsible until the Day of Judgment was sent to our Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: to set right all the errors that had been incorporated in the old religions. Allah communicated what He demands from his slaves through the Qur'an.

The Muslim believes that Allah has enjoined upon every sane adult Muslim five prayers each day and night, which he does in a state of purity, standing before his Lord, every day in a state of purity and humility, thanking his Lord for His blessings, asking Him of His bounty, seeking His forgiveness for his sins, asking Him for Paradise and seeking refuge in Him from Hell.
