Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard Allah's Apostle saying: "There is healing in Black Cumin for all diseases except death." (Sahih Bukhari 7:71:592)

Mahfouz and El-Dakhakhny, prominent Egyptian researchers isolated the active principle nigellone from Black Seed's essential oil in 1959.  There are over 100 different chemical components in the seed.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,

"Allah will cover seven people with special shade, on the Day when there will be no shade: a just ruler, a youth who has grown up in the worship of Allah, a man whose heart is attached to the mosques, two persons who love each other only for Allah’s sake and they meet and part in Allah’s cause only, a man who refuses the call of a beautiful and influential woman for illicit relation with her and says: I am afraid of Allah, a man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given, and a person who remembers Allah while he is alone and his eyes are flooded with tears." (Al-Bukhari)

The Qur'an is the word of the Ever-Living Allah. It has been sent down to guide humans for all times to come. No book can be like it. As you come to the Qur'an, Allah speaks to you. To read the Qur'an is to hear Him, to converse with Him, and to walk in His ways. It is the encounter of life with the Life-giver.

Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) was the son of Abbas, an uncle of the noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He was born just three years before the Hijrah. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away, Abdullah was thus only thirteen years old.

Question:

If a person practices homosexuality, and believes that this is acceptable [and not forbidden], does this person still remain a Muslim? The person says that the verses in the Qur’an are all related to lust and fashion rather than sincere love between 2 individuals.

In the linguistic sense, the Arabic word “jihad” means struggling or striving and applies to any effort exerted by anyone. In this sense a student struggles and strives to get an education and pass course work; an employee strives to fulfill his/her job and maintain good relations with his/her employer; a politician strives to maintain or increase his popularity with his constituents and so on.

The word “Muslim” means one who submits to the will of Allah, regardless of their race, nationality or ethnic background. Becoming a Muslim is a simple and easy process that requires no pre-requisites. One may convert alone in privacy, or he/she may do so in the presence of others.

 If anyone has a real desire to be a Muslim and has full conviction and strong belief that Islam is the true religion of God, then, all one needs to do is pronounce the “Shahada”, the testimony of faith, without further delay. The “Shahada” is the first and most important of the five pillars of Islam.
