Love is a deep concept that has many different attributes, as can be understood from the many words used to describe love in Arabic. In his commentary on the Forty Hadith, Imam An-Nawawi makes a distinction between religious love (muhabbat ad-diniyyah) and human love (muhabbat al-bashriyyah). In Islam, it is important for us to understand the difference between religious love and human love.

Unlike the Mu’tazilah, the Ahlus-Sunnah accepts the lone-narrated reports that are authentic. ‘Alī Al-Qāri records the ijmā’ of the Sahābah and Tābi’īs on this point (Sharh, 209).

"Have taqwa (fear) of Allah wherever you may be, and follow up a bad deed with a good deed which will wipe it out, and behave well towards the people."(At-Tirmidhi)

Question:
Why did the scholars who follow madhab allow acting on weak hadith? Isn't this a gross innovation?
None of the Imams and Mujtahideen have regarded it permissible to do masah on the type of wollen, cotton and nylon socks that are available today. You have understood it incorrectly that there is a difference of opinion regarding this matter. In fact the opinion of impermissibility is unanimous regarding such thin socks.
