The Command of War in Islam

Certain verses of the Qur'an give the command to do battle (22:39). Here are a few points on this subject that we learn from our study of the Qur'an.

The first point is that to initiate aggression or armed confrontation is absolutely forbidden for Muslims. That is why the Qur'an clearly states: "Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress". (Al Baqara 2:190).

The Festival of Love was one of the festivals of the pagan Romans, when paganism was the prevalent religion of the Romans more than seventeen centuries ago. In the pagan Roman concept, it was an expression of "spiritual love".

Miswak - Natural toothbrush

The miswak (miswaak, siwak) is a natural toothbrush made from the twigs of the Salvadora persica tree, also known as the arak tree or the peelu tree. Other tree types that are used are the olive, walnut, and other trees with bitter roots.

Salvador Persica is an upright evergreen small tree or shrub, seldom more than one foot in diameter reaching maximum height of three meters. The leaves are small, oval, thick and succulent with a strong smell cress or mustard.

Personality of a person is a whole sum up of a person’s attitude towards everything, how one talks, walks, eats and dresses etc. and no doubt the most over whelming part of personality is the looks you generate. A good and neat dress always imparts a positive impact on your viewer. That is why Islam has focused upon cleanliness very much. Cleanliness doesn’t means to wear a neat and clean dress. It includes clean body and cleanliness in thoughts also.

 

An Easy Way to Paradise

`Abdullah ibn Salam (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived for the first time in Madinah, I went with everyone to see him. When I saw him, I knew his face was not that of a liar. The first words he said were,

“O people, feed the hungry, spread the greeting of peace (as-salam), maintain your kinship relations, and pray at night while others are asleep. With this, you shall enter Heaven in peace.” (Al-Bukhari)

Removing the darkness of these worries, distresses, depression and grief is a very important matter to which Islaam gives serious attention…There are many authentic Dua’s and Supplication from Hadith which can help us remove anxieties according to Islam. If we are feeling depressed, we should strengthen our belief in Allah and predestination (Qada wa Qadar) and recite these supplication for depression and worries.
