The Messenger of Allah: Muhammad (pbuh)

Source : RasoulAllah.net / 25 Jan 2013

We know a lot more about Muhammad - the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, since he is the last Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and lived only 1,400 years ago. People altered and distorted all the religions Allah revealed before him. That is why the last book for which people will be held responsible until the Day of Judgment was sent to our Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: to set right all the errors that had been incorporated in the old religions. Allah communicated what He demands from his slaves through the Qur'an.

The "A Deed a Day" initiative is a good way to start emulating the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as he (peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged believers to engage in good deeds even if it was as small as smiling to another brother or sister.

Consciously thinking of a good deed every day raises awareness and love of Prophet Muhammad's life, as it stated repeatedly in the Qur'an that we are to follow the way of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

Daughters - a Way to Paradise

By Agencies / 24 Jan 2013

Even now daughters are considered an unwanted burden in some societies and instead of rejoicing, an atmosphere of grief and disappointment is produced in the family at their birth.

This is the position, today, but in the pre-Islamic times the daughters were positively considered a shame and disgrace among the Arabs, so much so that even the right to live was denied to them. Many a hard-hearted parent used to strangle his daughter to death, with his own hands, when she was born, or bury her alive.

Have you ever met someone guilty of cannibalism? Probably not, yet if many of us who gossiped were to go by any name – it would be this. This is the way backbiting is described in Islam and many of us know it.
