Allah

Dress Code of Muslim women

By Aisha Stacey / 6 May 2013

Islam is a complete way of life, each and every aspect is designed by our Creator to advance happy, healthy communities and ease the path to eternal bliss in Paradise. In today’s society modesty is seen as a sign of weakness or insecurity. This is not the case in Islam, where modesty is seen as a sign of respect for oneself and others.

Purification of the Soul

Source : Newmuslims.com / 4 May 2013

“Purification of the soul” deals with the heart. Hearts cannot obtain their desire unless they are connected with their Lord.  They cannot connect with their Lord unless they are “pure,” because Allah is Pure and only accepts what is pure. The purer the heart, the closer it will be to its Lord and enjoy being with Him.

Backbiting and Slander

By C. Mofty / 2 May 2013

Islam is a religion of peace, love and compassion which teaches us that we should respect the honor, reputation and privacy of others. Lies, suspicion, backbiting, slander, and gossip are destructive, major sins that go against what Islam stands for and sow enmity and discord among Muslims.  They cause hostilities between family members, neighbors, and friends.  Therefore, Islam clearly defines and prohibits them in the severest of terms.

An Austrian Scientist Discovers Islam

By Amina Islam  / 1 May 2013

Born 1953 in the town Linz in Austria, I spent my childhood in Munich (Germany) until we moved to Salzburg (Austria) when I was 16 years old. I grew up in a conservative Christian way. My parents are strict Protestant Christians, which believe in the Bible and pray to Jesus as son of God. They educated me to keep a high standard of morals and ethics.

The Greatest Sin…

Source : WhatisIslam.org.uk / 30 Apr 2013

The greatest sin is to contradict the purpose of one’s creation. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that the gravest sin was: “To give God a partner though He created  you alone.”  Worshipping others beside God is the only unforgivable sin, and essentially involves giving the attributes of the Creator to a part or parts of the creation.

Lying and Backbiting

By C. Mofty / 29 Apr 2013

What Is a Lie?

A lie is the opposite of truth.  Therefore, anything spoken or written that is untrue and deliberately meant to deceive is a lie.  A lie is something which is baseless, unreal, made-up, distorted or it can be an exaggeration.  Lying is forbidden in Islam and condemned by Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

500 years of workship

Source : FollowIslamonline.com / 29 Apr 2013

Angel Jibrail (peace be upon him) told Rasulullah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) the following incident about a man in the past who worshipped Allah Ta’ala continuously for 500 years. He was granted a shelter on top of a mountain that was surrounded by salty water. However, Allah caused a stream of sweet water to flow through the mountain for that individual. The man would drink from this water and use it to make ablution. Allah Ta’ala also raised a pomegranate tree from which the man would eat one fruit every day.
