The Water of Zamzam

Source : IslamWeb / 28 Aug 2014

It is the best water on earth. It is also the most ancient water on earth because it was discovered about five thousand years ago. According to laboratory analysis, it is the most pure water on earth. Moreover, it functions as food and as a cure for diseases as mentioned by the Prophet,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ). In addition, it is found in the most sacred place on earth. Is there any other source of water on earth that can rival its virtues?

We Aren't Trying to End Global Terror: We're After the Oil

Source : Alternet / 26 Aug 2014

Thirteen years after the attacks of September 11, and with much said and written about ISIS and the gruesome beheading of James Foley, America continues to misunderstand the roots of Islamic terrorism. We also fail to acknowledge that as long as we remain addicted to cheap oil we will be locked in a war in the Middle East.

Helping your Companions

Source : Hadith a day / 25 Aug 2014

Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (radi Allahu anhu) reported: While we were travelling with the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), a rider came and began to stare on the right and on the left. The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), said, “He who has an extra mount should hand it over to one who has none, and he who possesses surplus provision, should give it to him who is without provision.” He named various kinds of possessions until we began to think (realise) that none of us had any right to anything surplus.

Everyone Will Be Resurrected in The Same State When They Die

Death is a very painful and emotional time, yet one that may be filled with hope and mercy. Muslims believe that death is a departure from the life of this world, but not the end of a person's existence. Rather, eternal life is to come, and we pray for God's mercy to be with the departed, in hopes that they may find peace and happiness in the life to come.

How to improve your relationship with the Quran

Source : IslamWeb / 19 Aug 2014

It is recommended for every believing man and woman to recite the Book of Allaah, the Noble Quran, often, with due contemplation and understanding. This may be done by using a copy of the Quran or from one's memory. Allaah - the Most High – Says (what means): "[This is] a blessed Book (the Quran) which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad, sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded." [Quran 38:29]
