New data published by the Lands Research Centre (LRC) shows that Palestinians own only eight per cent of historic Palestine. The LRC is affiliated to the Arabic Studies Association in Jerusalem. In a press conference held in Ramallah, it announced the publication of its latest Year Book, in which it documents Israeli violations of Palestinian rights concerning lands and houses. The book is published in English and Arabic.

A new exhibition to be held in central London will showcase pictures of Muslims who saved Jews during the Holocaust, the BBC has reported.

The Righteous Muslim Exhibition, to be launched at the Board of Deputies of British Jews in Bloomsbury,“hopes to inspire new research into instances of collaboration between the Muslim and Jewish communities,” the BBC reported.

More than 6,000 people died in Syria in March, the deadliest month since protests against the government began two years ago, activists say.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a UK-based activist group, said it recorded 6,005 deaths last month.

An Israeli rights group said yesterday that the number of Israeli soldiers indicted by the army for crimes against Palestinians had dropped significantly.

The report by Yesh Din, an organisation that opposes Israel's occupation of the West Bank and tracks violations of Palestinians' liberties there, comes amid growing condemnation by activists of the Israeli army's treatment of Palestinians.
