Kazakhstani muslim scientist proves Navier-Stokes equations

Mukhtarbay Otelbayev, a professor at the Eurasian National University’s department of methods of mathematical simulation, published a paper in the Mathematical Journal in which he proves the existence of a solution to an equation deemed one of the hardest in the world. The Navier Stokes Equation is One of seven Millennium Prize problems, which were set by the Clay Mathematics Institute in 2000.

As-salamu ‘alaykum. In a masjid, we quite often have carpets that have musallas to demarcate an individual’s prayer space in the carpet design itself. Can this ‘musalla’ be considered as a sutra or is it still recommended to place something in front of one? Wasalam.

Muslim Scholars Defy Doomsday Prophecy

Prophecies of the doomsday on Friday, December 21, are meeting rejections from Muslim scholars as a “big lie”, criticizing the media for creating panic and terror among the public.

“No one knew about the exact date and time of Doomsday,” Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhri, a top official of the Wafaq-ul-Madaris Pakistan, the largest federation of Islamic seminaries around the world, told Pakistan’s The News daily on Sunday, December 16.
