In the Name of Allah, The Most Merciful and The Most Compassionate.
May His blessings and peace be on His Beloved Prophet, the best of creation, and on his family, companions and followers.
My dear brothers, Assalamu `alaikum, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
Question :
Why does passing wind (gas) invalidate the wudu? If it becomes necessary to take wudu after passing wind (gas) then, isn't it a waste of time and water?
Answer:
Ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
أَوْلَىالنَّاسِبِييَوْمَالْقِيَامَةِأَكْثَرُهُمْعَلَيَّصَلَاةً
The closest of the people to me on the Day of Resurrection are those who invoked the most blessings upon me.
Many theories have been put forward about how the tradition began. Unfortunately, none of them are conclusive. Thus, the origin of the “custom of making April fools” remains as much a mystery to us as it was back in 1708 CE.
None of the Imams and Mujtahideen have regarded it permissible to do masah on the type of wollen, cotton and nylon socks that are available today. You have understood it incorrectly that there is a difference of opinion regarding this matter. In fact the opinion of impermissibility is unanimous regarding such thin socks.
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him):
"One of the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) put up a tent upon a grave without knowing that it was a grave. When he realized that is was a person's grave, he recited Surat Al-Mulk until its completion. Then he went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) [Indeed] I erected my tent without realizing that it was upon a grave. So when I realized there was a person in it I recited Surat Al-Mulk until its completion.' So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "It is a prevention, it is a salvation delivering from the punishment of the grave.'"
Muslims and Valentine's day
A clarrification and history about this day by Sheikh Mumtaz Ul Haq
Another valentine gentleman you may be wondering about is Cupid (Latin cupido, "desire"). In Roman mythology Cupid is the son of Venus, goddess of love. His counterpart in Greek mythology is Eros, god of love. Cupid is often said to be a mischievous boy who goes around wounding both gods and humans with his arrows, causing them to fall in love.
Someone who claims that he/she loves another will prefer that person to all others, he will also prefer what they like, if it were otherwise then he would be acting and his love would not be sincere.
The Almighty Allah says in the Quran:
"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel"(Surah 7 (Al-'A`rāf), verse 157)
On 2 March 2010, Qadri issued a 600-page Fatwa on Terrorism, which is an "absolute" scholarly refutation of all terrorism without "any excuses or pretexts." He said that "Terrorism is terrorism, violence is violence and it has no place in Islamic teaching and no justification can be provided for it"
In August 2010 Qadri held an anti-terrorism camp for Muslim youth at the University of Warwick with the aim of tackling extremism in the UK. He organised the camp under the auspices of Minhaj-ul-Quran UK
