Strew at least a flower seed…

By Abdul Wadud / 4 Apr 2013

Once there lived a traveler. Seeing him sowing seeds in every place he visits, someone asked: “Why are you planting trees through the places which you would never come back to? ”

“Well, I may not come back to here. It is just because you don’t travel around, you live with the fallacy that all the trees we plant are for ourselves.  All these trees and flowers we pass through by relishing and delighting are NOT grown by us, are they? Aren’t we adoring the trees fostered by others? Hence, for this world and nature around, strew at least a flower seed”, he replied.

Did Islam Spread by the Sword?

Source : Lostislamichistory.com / 4 Apr 2013

It’s a common accusation made against Muslims and Islam in general: “The only reason Islam is a world religion is because it spread by the sword.” It’s a favorite remark of Islamophobes who parade as analysts and historians fear-mongering about the threat Islam supposedly poses to the Western World. With it being such a hot topic that causes so much debate, it is appropriate to analyze and study this topic to better understand whether it is valid or not.

Is Tawassul Shirk?

By Ebrahim Saifuddin / 29 Mar 2013

In this day and age when Muslims are being attacked by people of almost all faiths, it is quite sad and disturbing that Muslims are busy attacking each other. Why is it that we, who belong to the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ, have fallen so low that we take not a second before declaring each other of being from those who practice shirk or kufr?

The Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the second revealed source of Islam.  Like the Quran, it contains scientific information unavailable 1400 years ago. Remembrance of Allah

Almost every person in the modern world is involved in some basic worldly activity like earning a living, going to school, eating, sleeping, and socializing.  Naturally, we forget Allah and the obligations due to Him.  When we forget Allah, this life and its worries become the central occupation of the human mind.  Desires run wild.  A person begins to ‘chase his shadow’, something he can never catch.  For many, money becomes the sole goal of life.  The more you make, the more you spend, the more you want.

Trustworthiness

If your colleague or friend gave you a sum of money that he is afraid to lose and you kept it with you just as you keep your own money, and later you gave it back to him once he asked for it fully and intact, then you are a trustworthy person and faithful.

The Feet in Salaat

Source : Peopleofsunnah.com / 25 Mar 2013

In this fourteenth century of the Islamic era, a recently mushroomed sect known as the Salafis, has invented some new rules which they believe are the Sunnat teachings of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Inspite of their views being in conflict with the teachings of the Salf-e-Saaliheen belonging to the Noblest Ages of Islam (Khairul Quroon), they obstinately cling to their misguided opinions. Their method is to subject the Ahadith to their personal understanding. Inspite of the divergence which this self-opinion produces from the Way of the Ummah inherited from the Sahaabah, the Salafis intransigently cling to their deviation.

Paradise is for Believing Men and Women

Source : Islamswomen.com / 25 Mar 2013

We often hear speakers in Friday prayer or in admonitions talking about Paradise and all of us find our hearts, minds and thoughts tuned on to that 'frequency'. However, majority of the speakers talk about Paradise as if it were a house for men only. Reality is not like that. Paradise is for the believing men and women. The only price for it is sound belief in Allah, love of Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and obedience to Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).

Allah has created everything in this universe in due proportion and measure both quantitatively and qualitatively.  Allah has declared in the Quran:

“Verily, all things have We created by measure”(Quran 54:49)

“…Everything to Him is measured.”(Quran 13:8)
