Al Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “I asked my father how the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) behaved in his sittings, and he said, ‘the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) never got up or sat down without mentioning the name of Allah. He forbade designating a certain spot to a person so that he would consider it as his own. He sat wherever he found a spot. He also ordered others to do the same, when they entered a sitting. He divided his time equally and justly among his companions who sat with him.

Cordially making room for newcomers in a gathering is a rule of refined conduct taught and encouraged by the Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam.

Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, says: "O you who have believed, when you are told, 'Make worn [for one another]' in gatherings, then make room; Allah will make room for you. And when you are told: 'Arise!' then arise. Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge by degrees. And Allah is acquainted with what you do" [58:11].

The Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, received the revelation of the Quran from Jibreel (Gabriel), may Allaah exalt his mention, and conveyed it to people as it was revealed to him from His Lord. He urged his companions, may Allaah be pleased with them, to learn and memorize it.

Tawakkul

Whoever relies on Allah (has Tawakkul), He is sufficient for him. (At-Talaaq 65:3) 

Tawakkul is another attribute that results from a true Iman in Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta`ala. It is an attitude that emanates from the conviction that:

In the last years, the world has witnessed a remarkable interest in the elderly. Many international conferences and symposiums were held to deal with the issues and problems they encounter. In 1982, the first initiative to care for the elderly was declared as the United Nations declared the ninth decade of the 20th century “the decade of the elderly.” In 1983, the World Health Organization adopted the slogan “Add Life to Years.” In addition, the UN conference held in Madrid in 2002 adopted a plan of action to solve the problems of the elderly in various countries around the world. The outcome of these conferences, however, was just sweet promises and plans without any actual application.

 

How Scores will be Settled on the Day of Resurrection

When the Day of Resurrection comes, a man's wealth and capital will be his hasanaat (good deeds). If he had done wrong to any people, they will take from his hasanaat to the extent that he mistreated them. If he does not have any hasanaat, or if his hasanaat run out, then some of their sayi`aat (bad deeds) will be taken and added to his burden.
