The Night Journey and the Ascension to heaven was not a miracle confined in time or limited with space and it was not an event that simply passed by because this miracle still stands as an eye witness with all its encompassing lessons and benefits. This miraculous event still serves as a flowing spring from which the Ummah benefits to solve their current problems through seeking the Prophetic guidance.

(1) I have recently accepted Islam, do I need to change my name?
No, you don’t have to change your name unless its meaning is Islamically objectionable. The Prophet did not order everyone who accepted Islam to change their names. Since Arabic names generally have meanings, he did change names with offensive or religiously objectionable meanings. And if the name is not Islamically objectionable, then it is recommended to take a Muslim name but one does not have to.

Question:
Did Muhammad declare war against people because they did not embrace Islam?
Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did not initiate war against anyone who offered to make peace with him. War is a last resort in Islam for the physical defense of the community and it is not a means to force people to enter Islam. Peaceful coexistence among different religions is highly preferred over conflict.

Most of our planet is covered with water. Oceans and seas make up three fourths of the earth's surface while the land itself contains countless numbers of rivers and lakes. The snow and ice on the summits of lofty mountains is water in its frozen form. A substantial part of the earth's water is in the sky: every cloud contains thousands--sometimes millions-of tons of water in the form of vapor. From time to time, some of this water vapor turns into drops of liquid and falls to the ground: in other words, it rains. Even the air you're breathing now contains a certain amount of water vapor.
