Benefits of Hijama (Cupping)

The act of perfoming Hijama is a Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad صلاللهعليهوسلم and it is extensivly reported in a wide collection of authentic ahadith. Its practice is strongly recomened and emphasized in a number of narations. The practice of Hijama forms an integral part of Islamic Prophetic Medicine. 

Hijama was a common practice of the Prophet Muhammad صلاللهعليهوسلم and his companions for the treatment of a range of ailments as well as a form of body maininance and health promotion.

Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Rasool Allah ﷺ said,“Should I not tell you of such a thinga which are the best and purest deeds in the court of your Lord, high in ranks (darajat), better for you then spending gold and silver (in Allah’s path), and better than slaying the neck of the enemy during war? The Sahaba said, “Yes, Oh Rasool Allah !”  He said,“It is Zikr of Allah.” (Tirmizi)

Here are some dua’a to make when under stress and experiencing anxiety. They are a means of dispelling fear, of seeking forgiveness of Allah, seeking His aid, protection and guidance. They are the words of the Messenger of Allah (sall’allahu alayhi wasallam) and hence anyone that sincerely makes these dua during times of great need Allah will always answer the dua of the sinere seeker. May they be of benefit to us all for there is not a time in the life of a believer when he or she does not need the protection, guidance and mercy of Allah.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,

"Allah will cover seven people with special shade, on the Day when there will be no shade: a just ruler, a youth who has grown up in the worship of Allah, a man whose heart is attached to the mosques, two persons who love each other only for Allah’s sake and they meet and part in Allah’s cause only, a man who refuses the call of a beautiful and influential woman for illicit relation with her and says: I am afraid of Allah, a man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given, and a person who remembers Allah while he is alone and his eyes are flooded with tears." 7 Prophetic Strategies of Correcting Mistakes

Mistakes are the consequences of life and being human. They help us repent, learn and grow wiser. Mistakes can be catalysts of self-improvement and reminders of our imperfections. Still, we tend to interpret mistakes more as disaster than opportunity.

Prophet Muhammad, the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) and the most brilliant educator of humanity, approached mistakes not as cause for shame, but as teachable moments. Even though the Prophet taught his companions to strive for excellence and conquer their flaws, mistakes were inevitably made, some minor and some very serious. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) corrected people’s missteps with gentleness, empathy, and creativity. He used mistakes as opportunities to empower people, not break them.
